A couple of months ago, I had a spray painting party of sorts...and the results were mixed. I started off with a dark paint that did not contain primer. It was a disaster. I removed the dark paint and then decided to use a light green as a pop color...but,that was a failure as well. Finally, I chose a pewter color which thankfully covered up my past painting sins.
This year Halloween night was blustery and cold. But, we managed to make the best of a windy situation. The kids in our group had a blast trick or treating and the adults spent a majority of the time laughing with one another. We had just as much fun as the kids. This to me is what Halloween is all about.
Burlap fabric invokes a vision of enjoying brunch in a small sun room. The material can act as a window covering, table runner, place mat and/or a floor covering place underneath a small accent table.
This is a very basic pattern which reminds me of tailgating picnics in early Fall. I can smell the meats on the grill and taste the tart apple cider on my tongue.
I realize that it is WAY to early to be discussing snow...but, this fabric invokes the arrival of Winter in all of its majesty. Use it as a wrap over a long gown, a window covering, or as part of an art installation.
Sparkly fabric has magical properties. I can wear it as a wrap atop of a sedate black dress, cut it into a headscarf, and/or use it for window coverings.
Summer 2017...why are you leaving so soon? Each day, the sun seems to slip from the sky earlier and earlier. The temperatures are slowly dropping as well. Every year, I mourn the end of time spent dining on patios, walking in the warm sunshine, and sipping cool refreshing drinks.
Earlier this summer, I completely overhauled my sad backyard. Admittedly, I felt overwhelmed by this large undertaking until I realized that I did not have to do everything right away. This realization made it easier for me to complete the project.
